Heavy Metal Wood Surround Desk

We have taken two elements from our most popular desks and combined them into this sharp looking desk. We have used the frame from our Industrial Steel office desk. The frame is constructed of 2" square tubing, #13 expanded metal, and 2" angle iron. The metal shelf that runs along the perimeter of the underside of the desk has a depth of 12". We have added the wood sided accents from our wood surround desk. Together they have the shelving functionality of the Industrial Steel office desk, with the privacy of the wood surround desk. It makes for a great way to organize and keep all those computer cords hidden. Do you use monitor clamps? Not a problem! We can adjust the dimensions of the frame to leave a cantilever of your needed depth.

The steel in the photos is painted. Painting is an additional $300. The standard desk comes with raw steel, which is a dark gray after cleaning and sealing.

Our tops are constructed out of rough cut, kiln dried pine. Knots are visible, and add tons of character. We stain the wood to the color of your choice. We use Minwax oil based stains. Please note that the natural grains and variations of wood will take up stain differently with each piece, some will have more light spots, some will have more dark spots.


We now partner with a local lumber company. They offer Many Many Many different and beautiful species of wood. If you are interested in using something besides the Southern Yellow Pine, please visit their website www.kluttzlumber.com to see what they have available. The desk shown in the photos has the following dimensions: Main desk 80"x34", Right hand Return 40"x24". This desk has a standard drawer bank added to the return. Desks are a standard 30" tall.
